Paul joined Mentor Corporate Coaching in 2008 as one of three Directors and is now owner Managing Director, with a large portfolio of clients. Prior to becoming a Business Coach and Trainer, he was in senior management positions with the international food and commodities group, Tate & Lyle – and later with major global operators in the storage and handling of petroleum products and bulk liquid chemicals. He also has experience of general management in a family-owned SME.
As an experienced Director and General Manager, Paul has worked “on the ground” in over 30 countries worldwide in trading and commercial roles, and has run multi-disciplined senior teams on major hazard terminal sites.
Paul instructs bespoke group training programmes in Leadership and Personal Effectiveness, as well as coaching individuals and teams. His highly interactive and engaging style of delivery draws on his wide experience in the business world. He has worked as a Coach and Trainer with UK regional, national and international SMEs and larger organizations at all levels – in sectors as diverse as insurance, recruitment, manufacturing, food, distribution, chemicals, surveying, education, advertising, radio and construction.
In many cases, Paul’s work with companies continues beyond training programmes and coaching: his ability to build relationships with clients means he is often retained to provide ongoing support to the business.
